Emiluis

Emiluis “Emi” Perez

North Shore Community College
Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts

Emi joined LEAP for Education, then Salem CyberSpace, in middle school to receive homework help and tutoring. After graduation, he plans on transferring to Salem State University to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Social Work. Emi will be the first in his family to pursue a bachelor’s degree.

UPDATE: Emi graduated from Salem State University in 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work.

Jacqueline “Jacque” Arzu Woods

Salem State University
Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing
Minor in Graphic Design

Jacque joined LEAP for Education, then Salem CyberSpace, in middle school. While attending Salem State University she was involved in several clubs on campus like the American Marketing Association and the International Student Association. In the near future, she plans to pursue a Master’s Degree in Integrated Marketing Communications.

John joined LEAP for Education, then Salem CyberSpace, in middle school. After graduating NSCC John will be attending Salem State University to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. He aspires to work with youth as a therapist or a clinician.

Jurelis joined LEAP’s College Success Program as a high school junior. While at UMass Amherst she was extremely active working at the Dean of Students’ Office, doing research for the Pediatric Physical Activity Lab, working as Treasurer of her sorority, and being an active member of the Kinesiology Club. Jurelis plans to attend grad school in the fall to pursue a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy at Springfield College.

Keila is currently working at the North Shore Medical Center as a nursing technician and hopes to become a registered nurse there once she completes the exams this summer.

Leuncie joined LEAP’s College Success Program during her junior year of high school. In the near future she plans to attend grad school.

Matthew “Matty” McCauley

Matty learned about LEAP’s College Success Program through his friend John turcios and joined as a college student. After graduating NSCC, Matty will be transferring to Salem State University to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature. His goal is to further his education in order to become a college level English professor.

Migui joined LEAP’s College Success Program during her junior year of high school. Her goal for the near future is to attend law school. She is currently studying to take the LSAT, while working with Migrant Advocacy, and interning at Congressman Tierney’s office.

Bacheloror Arts in Illustration

Miguel joined LEAP for Education, then Salem CyberSpace, in middle school and was one of the founding members of CyberCorps, a program where LEAP youth designed websites for nonprofits. His goals for the near future are to revive the dying art of sign painting and become a tattoo artist.
