LEAP @ Marshall Middle School (Lynn)

The Marshall Middle School and LEAP have partnered to implement a free after-school program for 60 students in Lynn in grades 6 – 8 starting in the Fall of 2020. This program will be offered right in the school and will include a free snack and transportation home for those who need it. A small pilot program for 20 EL students will be starting in April 2020.

April 2020

Registration is now open for the April-June program for 20 EL students:
LEAP is offering a 10-week program starting on April 9, 2020 for EL students (including newcomers) that will run for four hours on Thursdays. The program will offer opportunities to explore the Lynn community while developing vocabulary and practicing speaking skills. This free program includes snack and dinner. Transportation will be provided home for those who need it.

Fall 2020

Starting in Fall 2020, the program will offer academic enrichment, college and career exploration and opportunities for students to develop socially and emotionally and to build community connections. Special programs will also be offered to English Learners to accelerate their acquisition of English and prepare them for high school. Teachers and community organizations interested in offering programs in the schools as part of this program are encouraged to participate.
