O’Maley Academy is a middle school enrichment program that provides students with over 20 class choices, college and career exploration, project based and social emotional learning.
O’Maley Academy at the O’Maley Innovation Middle School in Gloucester offers free after school classes for over 150 students four afternoons per week Monday – Thursday, as well as exciting summer programming in the arts and STEM.
This is a 21st Century Community Learning Center program funded by the U.S. Department of Education and it is run in partnership with the Gloucester Public Schools.

What is LEAP for Education’s Role?
LEAP for Education is working with the Gloucester Public Schools as Program Coordinator for its 21st Century Community Learning Center program, O’Maley Academy, at the O’Maley Innovation Middle School. As Program Coordinator, LEAP staff works with the site supervisor to assure that all the grant requirements are being met and that the academic quality, enrollment, attendance and assessments meet the high standards of the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
In addition to O’Maley Academy, LEAP staff provides program coordination for other 21cclc programs including Expanding Horizons at Salem’s Collins Middle School (grades 6 – 8), and Horace Mann Learning Lab at Salem’s Horace Mann Laboratory Elementary School (grades 3 – 5).
